The heroine is being auctioned off at a slave market when the hero sees her and purchases her. This couple has a passionate relationship that happens a little quickly. Still these leads are not cookie cutter characters, the heroine is a Bedouin who trains horses and the hero is sensitive and willing to sacrifice himself for the woman he loves. I have read and enjoyed Michelle's highland books but not this harem book.
Michelle Willingham masterfully writes another romantic view back in time. This time she focuses on the Ottoman empire and creates a lush, inviting love story between a strong, enchanting heroine and a mysterious, erotic hero. Her education in history seems to show through with the authenticity in her details that only improve her amazing writing style. I only just became aware of her books in the last two weeks, and have read four now. I would whole heartedly recommend ANY of her books. She seems to have a flair for historical fiction and I hope she continues to write and publish as much as possible.
I didn't care for this follow up book. They were so madly in love in 2seconds? Didn't have the same spice the previous one had.

I love any book that Michelle Willingham writes. I like how she does the story line with both true historical facts with a wonderful love story. A very sensual love story with a twist to the ending.
As a lot of the other reviewers have said, this could have been done better in a full length book. I do like the idea of love at first sight but it's difficult to sell in such a short space of time.
A sultan's son rescues a young woman on the slave market auction block. Observing her gift with horses, he buys and takes under his protection. With the possibility of death, the two become lovers and risk everything to be together.
